Porcelain paper clay. First construction.
I'd started this the night before and worked too quickly (and built too high). While the clay seems to have a fair amount of heft to it, the weight (and gravity) worked against me.
Current approach; base is cut, thicker based coils, thinner for the walls .. doubled up some of the thinner to create graduation.
Main intention is to get a fairly even distribution of clay.
Hatching is to help knit coils .. quite like the similarity to knitted garment. Was asked if I was going to lean into texture. Definitely not yet.
