Porcelain paper clay. This had been reshaped a before, and I'd left it drying with a balloon in it hoping it would help it dry without sinking.

Shape was definitely looking grounded to point of slumping wasn't intentional — more due to gravity.

Used a darning mushroom wrapped in fabric to try to compress and elevate belly from within .. flat side of metal kidney on other side.

Difficulty resolving neck .. eventually cut it off.

Breakthrough came when I added a foot. Was only possible as (thicker) lower half had dried enough to let me place on support sponge to access bottom.

Then used a paddle to help equalise shape. More robust shape achieved by lowering with paddle just below neck.

Need to resolve lip shoulder next session.
